How To Put Up A Pop-Up Gazebo

For those who have recently purchased a pop-up gazebo for the first time, or those who have had trouble erecting gazebos in the past… you may be wondering what the most practical way is to erect the pop-up gazebo without facing any hassle, especially if you’re trying to secure your gazebo from the wind

If that applies to you, this blog gives you a step-by-step guide on how to put up a pop-up gazebo, making it super quick and easy. Let’s get your new gazebo set up.

Are pop-up gazebos easy to put up?

Putting up a pop-up gazebo from Sun Leisure is much easier than many other types of structures. The ‘pop-up’ term is self-explanatory – thanks to their ready-assembled frames (including concertina sections and telescopic legs), each instant shelter can be erected in just a few minutes by one person.

How to erect a pop-up gazebo

You should choose a pop-up gazebo for multiple reasons… they’re sturdy, lightweight and perfectly practical. For the majority of our pop up gazebos, the set-up process is very similar. Here are the basics of how to put up a pop-up gazebo:

Step 1. Positioning the gazebo

Once you’ve decided on where you want to place your gazebo in a fitting space, remove it from the trolley bag and stand it on its feet. You should then lift the frame off the floor lightly before taking a small step backwards, ensuring that you don’t bend the side supports.

Step 2. Structuring the gazebo

You will then need to push the side supports together – at this point, they should form a diamond shape. Repeat on the opposite sides until the gazebo is almost fully open. After this, you will need to engage the slider at each corner by pushing it up until you hear the snap button engage. You will need to do this for each leg.

Step 3. Covering the gazebo

You will then need to place the cover over the top of the gazebo to create the roof. Once you’ve done this, you will need to lift up each leg one at a time, sliding the inner leg out until you hear the snap button lock.

Step 4.  Securing the gazebo

In this final step, you should square up your pop-up gazebo and then secure it to the ground. To do this, you will need to use the guy ropes attached to each corner of the roof. Alternatively, you can use the stakes through the holes in each leg foot.

How long does it take to put up a Pop-Up Gazebo?

With Sun Leisure’s range of premium quality pop-up gazebos, you won’t have to compromise quality for ease. Our instant shelters can be erected in minutes by just one person – making them the ideal event solution if you’re looking for a temporary structure that still draws attention from customers at any exhibition.

Can one person put up a Pop-Up Gazebo?

Our easily transportable gazebos have the benefit of being designed to be easily erected by just one person! As our pop-up gazebos are temporary structures, we prioritise ease as well as reliability in order to make the process as smooth as possible for our customers.

However, this is not to say that more than one person can’t put up one of our pop-up gazebos. If you require a little extra help, or if you are short on time and need to cut corners – two people can definitely work together to put up a gazebo. This can be especially useful for absolute beginners or those using our larger structures.

How to take down a Pop-Up Gazebo

Dismantling your structure is just as easy as putting up a pop-up gazebo! Essentially, all you need to do is follow the above instructions in reverse order. It will then easily fold back into the trolley bag, ready to be used at your next event.

However, depending on the specific design or brand of your gazebo, you may need to remove the canopy roof before starting the process. This varies from gazebo to gazebo, so check the instructions of your specific structure before going ahead.
